Bruce Hunter
1950 - 2011
It is with great pain and sorrow that we have to announce the tragic loss to our family circle, friends and neighbours. Douglas Bruce Hunter, born August 3rd 1950 was chosen to continue on the Glory Trail on Wednesday October 19th , 2011. He leaves behind his wife Daina, children Lija (Mike) Tovell, Freya (friend Josh), Nikki (Jarrett) Carty, grandchildren Halle and Owen Tovell, Jacob Hunter and "one to be". Mother Mina, mother-in-law Omi, sister Lenore (Peter Coad), sister and brother-in-law Aida and Daniel Crosthwaite, nephews William, Christian, Robert and niece Lara with son Brant. Bruce also leaves behind a large extended family on the prairies and in Toronto. We are all left to ponder and remember the magic and love he wove for us every day. May the Lord bless him and keep him and give us the peace that surpasses understanding. Cremation has taken place as per his request. A private family service will be held.
A celebration of his life will be held at the St. Andrews Church in Fergus on Tuesday October 25th at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Whitecross presiding. A reception will be held at the church immediately following the service.
